Our Story

Studies have shown time and time again the link between regular physical activity and a healthy diet with reduced instances of depression, dementia and diabetes to name a few, not to mention the positive effects on our mood, sense of self-worth, sleep and stress levels.

Far too many young women find themselves trapped in constant yo-yo dieting cycles, bombarded with conflicting information and following random diets or workouts from social media, desperate to find the magic solution. As a result, their mental health can suffer leaving them feeling lost, confused and unable to make a lasting change. Despite all the information available, new trends, gadgets and pills, obesity levels continue to rise making up 30% of women in the UK - so what’s going wrong?

These women lack the guidance they need to build a sustainable, healthy lifestyle that truly nourishes their bodies and minds. Through all of the noise, they are unable to learn how to train, eat and think to achieve their health goals.

As a qualified personal trainer, Amy has helped others to truly transform their body and mind-set. With almost 10 years of experience training clients in a group or 1:2:1 setting, you can be confident you’re in good hands. Her passion for building community and showing that fitness can be fun will have you sweating and smiling.

Amy loves to continuously challenge herself and her positive attitude and self-determination have helped her and those around her to achieve countless goals. From climbing Kilimanjaro to running a 3.45 Marathon, to placing 2nd in professional bodybuilding shows, Amy shows if you put your mind to it anything is possible.

Amy also has a First Class Honors Degree in Natural Sciences, majoring in Biochemistry with modules such as Human Anatomy. She’s able to translate complex scientific evidence into easy to understand and practical tips. Using both her educational background and personal training experience, Amy is able to educate and guide retreat guests, transferring years of knowledge in just a few days. Trained as a Mental Health First Aider and in Suicide First Aid Prevention, Amy equally understands emotional and mental health is as important as physical health.

Above all, Amy wants to share her passion and knowledge with others, inspiring them to be their best selves. By attending an Empower Retreat, she can equip you with the knowledge and tools you need to make sustainable positive changes and truly change your life for the better.
